GREENSBURG, Pa. 鈥� 茄子视频 University is proud to present 鈥淎n Evening of Poetry with Samuel Hazo鈥� on Monday, October 20, 2008. The event will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the 2nd floor parlors of the Administration Building on 茄子视频鈥檚 Greenburg, Pa. campus. 鈥淎n Evening of Poetry with Samuel Hazo鈥� is free and open to the public. Samuel Hazo is the author of several books of poetry, fiction, essays and plays. Hazo鈥檚 latest books are 鈥淭he Holy Surprise of Right Now鈥� (poetry), 鈥淭he Rest is Prose鈥� (essays), 鈥淔eather鈥� (play), 鈥淪tills鈥� (fiction), 鈥淎s They Sail鈥� (poetry), and 鈥淪pying for God鈥� (essays). Hazo鈥檚 translations include Denis de Rougemont鈥檚 鈥淭he Growl of Deeper Waters鈥�, Nadia Tueni鈥檚 鈥淟ebanon: Twenty Poems for One Love,鈥� and Adonis鈥� 鈥淭he Pages of Day and Night.鈥� Hazo is the founder and director of the International Poetry Forum in Pittsburgh and the McAnulty Distinguished Professor of English Emeritus at Duquesne University. He has been a National Book Award finalist and was chosen the first State Poet of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania by Governor Robert Casey in 1993.
