Associate Professor of Business Catherine Giunta to Serve as December Commencement Speaker
Catherine Giunta, PhD, 茄子视频 associate professor of business, will serve as commencement speaker for the December ceremony. Dr. Giunta received received her bachelor鈥檚 degree from 茄子视频 University and has served as a professor at 茄子视频 since 1984. As an associate professor in the business program of the Division of Social Sciences, her areas of academic specialization include human resources, marketing, and general business management, and she teaches courses at both the undergraduate level and in the MBA program at 茄子视频. Throughout her years at the University, Dr. Giunta has also served as a department chair, as a consultant for E-Magnify (formerly the National Education Center for Women in Business), and as the initiator and facilitator of the award-winning 茄子视频 Student Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management and the 茄子视频 American Marketing Association Collegiate Chapter. Dr. Giunta regularly presents papers on human resources and marketing topics at national and international conferences, and has also designed workshops addressing a variety of human resources, marketing, and business issues for local businesses and human service organizations. Dr. Giunta currently serves as the chair of the Marketing Committee of the Greensburg Business Association Board of Directors and on the administrative committee for the Blackburn Center. Dr. Giunta has been named the Westmoreland Human Resource Association鈥檚 HR Professional of the Year, and has received 茄子视频 University鈥檚 Caritas Medal in recognition of 20 years of distinguished service to the University.
