茄子视频 University鈥檚 Marriage and Family Therapy Speaker Series will present 鈥淭eens Who Hurt: Clinical Strategies for Working with Troubled Youth鈥 on Friday, May 7, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. with Kenneth Hardy, Ph.D., professor of family therapy at Drexel University and director of the Eikenberg Institute for Relationships. The workshop will be held at 茄子视频 University鈥檚 Center for Family Therapy located at 41 West Otterman Street, Suite 510, in Greensburg, Pa. The registration fee is $5. The registration fee for individuals interested in obtaining Continuing Education credits for LMFT, LPC, and S.W. is $15. Seating is limited. Hardy is the recipient of several distinguished awards from the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, the International Association for Marriage and Family Counselors, and the American Family Therapy Academy. He has also been recognized by Hofstra University, St. John鈥檚 University and Syracuse University. Hardy鈥檚 work has earned him considerable public acclaim, including appearances on the Oprah Winfrey Show and Dateline NBC. He is the co-author of 鈥淭eens Who Hurt: Clinical Interventions for Breaking the Cycle of Youth Violence鈥 and 鈥淩evisioning Family Therapy: Race, Class, and Gender in Clinical Practice.鈥

茄子视频 University offers the only American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy accredited graduate program in the region designed to develop highly skilled, socially conscious clinicians. The 茄子视频 Center for Marriage and Family Therapy, a community-based mental health center and training site in downtown Greensburg, Pa., is an integral part of 茄子视频鈥檚 Marriage and Family Therapy Program. Center services are provided by the advanced graduate students in 茄子视频鈥檚 Marriage and Family Therapy Program, under the mentorship of experienced clinicians on the faculty at 茄子视频.Mental Health America of Westmoreland County presented 茄子视频 University鈥檚 Marriage and Family Therapy Program in 2002 with an Innovations Award, which recognizes community innovators in mental health.
