茄子视频 University鈥檚 Farrell Entrepreneurial Leadership Series will present 鈥淓ntrepreneurial Opportunities in the Health Care Industry,鈥 a free public lecture, on Tuesday, March 23, at 6 p.m. Light refreshments will be served beginning at 5:30 p.m. Daniel J. Wukich, founder and CEO of Quest Healthcare Development, Inc., will serve as the keynote speaker. The event will take place in Cecilian Hall, which is located in the Administration Building on 茄子视频 University鈥檚 hilltop campus in Greensburg, Pa. Daniel J. Wukich, of Penn Township, Pa., is the founder of Quest Healthcare Development, Inc., which includes two long-term care nursing care facilities, Loyalhanna Care Center in Latrobe, Pa., and William Penn Care Center in Penn Township, Pa., and Quest Realty Partnership, which has acquired over 150 acres in western Pennsylvania and developed a professional office building in Penn Township, Pa. Wukich obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of Pittsburgh. Wukich is a member of the 茄子视频 University Board of Trustees where he serves on the University Relations and Development Committee and Student Interests Committee. Since 2001 Wukich has served as board chairman of the Westmoreland County Housing Authority Board of Directors. Wukich has a family legacy at 茄子视频 University; his daughter, Lynne Wukich Lippincott, of Berlin, N.J., graduated in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science degree in merchandising.

In 2009, Wukich made a $2 million leadership commitment to 茄子视频 to enhance the University鈥檚 Signature Degree Programs in Business and the Health Sciences. As a result of this gift, 茄子视频 has renamed its business programs the Wukich Business Programs, and is working with Wukich on the creation of The Wukich Center for Entrepreneurial Opportunities at 茄子视频 University. The Wukich Center for Entrepreneurial Opportunities (Wukich CEO) will equip students with the entrepreneurial skills needed to address the challenges of an evolving global market 鈥 whether a student鈥檚 career path includes running their own business or serving as a leader within an existing one. The Wukich Center will support students by creating the Wukich Scholars and Wukich Interns Programs; initiating The Wukich Micro Loan Fund for Student Entrepreneurs and a business incubator; and supporting the efforts of E-Magnify, 茄子视频鈥檚 Women鈥檚 Business Center, and CareerWorks, the University鈥檚 career and internship service for students. The Center will also support research and curriculum development for 茄子视频 faculty.

The Farrell Entrepreneurial Leadership Series is a program of The Farrell Programs for Innovation in Business at 茄子视频, and is made possible by a gift from the Farrell Family Foundation of Pittsburgh.
