Dr. Michael Arnzen Receives Third Bram Stoker Award
鈥淚 love poetry,鈥 Arnzen said in his acceptance speech, 鈥渂ut I鈥檓 really just a person who likes to shake the language box around, sometimes violently, then turn it upside down and see what weird things fall out.鈥
Arnzen will be signing books and reading from his novel 鈥淧lay Dead鈥 and his collection of short stories 鈥100 Jolts,鈥 both from Raw Dog Screaming Press, at the University Town Centre Barnes & Noble in Morgantown, West Virginia on July 8 at 11 a.m.
Also honored at the Stoker award banquet was 茄子视频 adjunct professor in the Writing Popular Fiction program Gary Braunbeck, who received a Stoker for his work 鈥淲e Now Pause for Station Identification鈥 in the short fiction category. This is the second Stoker award for Braunbeck, who also received one for his short story 鈥淒uty鈥 in 2003.

Each year, the Horror Writers Association (HWA) presents the Bram Stoker Awards for Superior Achievement, named in honor of Bram Stoker, author of the seminal horror work 鈥淒racula.鈥 Previous Stoker Award winners include J.K.
