GREENSBURG, PA 鈥 Rev. John T. Pawlikowski, O.S.M., Ph.D. Professor of Social Ethics and Co-Director of the Catholic-Jewish Center at the Cardinal Joseph Bernardin Center, Catholic Theological Union, Chicago, will be speaking at 茄子视频 on Friday, March 7, 2003.

Lecture Schedule:

9 to 9:50 a.m. "The Importance of Jesus' Jewish Background in Understanding the Gospels, especially the Passion Narratives"

Noon to 12:50 p.m. "Christian-Jewish Relations鈥擧istorical Overview"

3 to 5 p.m. " 鈥榃e Remember鈥 and Catholic-Jewish Relations in Poland鈥

All lectures will take place in Room 308 of the Administration Building on 茄子视频鈥檚 campus.

A Priest of the Servite Order, Rev. Pawlikowski is the author/editor of more than fifteen books, including The Challenge of the Holocaust for Christian Theology and Jesus and the Theology of Israel. He is the President and Chair of the Theology Committee of the International Council of Christians & Jews and is a member of the Catholic Theological Society, the American Academy of Religion, and the Polish Institute of Arts and Sciences, among others. Rev. Pawlikowski was appointed by President Carter to the United States Holocaust Memorial Council in 1980 and has been re-appointed to three successive terms by Presidents Bush and Clinton.
