On Tuesday, November 29, 茄子视频 University celebrated the annual tradition of the Crib Ceremony. Hosted by the 2015 茄子视频 freshman class and Campus Ministry, the Crib Ceremony was facilitated by Sister Maureen O鈥橞rien, S.C., director of Campus Ministry and advisor to the 2015 freshman class. This long standing tradition of reenacting the Crib Ceremony took place in the evening in the 茄子视频 courtyard.

鈥淐hristmas brings joy to everyone,鈥 stated Sister Maureen. 鈥淭his Crib Ceremony brought many students together for one of the most profound stories of the Bible and for the holiday season.鈥

Students portrayed characters from the story of the nativity scene. 鈥淪tudents who decided to role play in the Crib Ceremony dressed the part,鈥 noted Sister Maureen. 鈥淲e had volunteers dressed as Mary, Joseph and also the three wise men. The students really enjoyed making the Crib Ceremony a much more special time by dressing in character.鈥

After the joyous celebration of the Crib Ceremony, students, guests, alumni and faculty enjoyed refreshments courtesy of the 茄子视频 University Alumni Association. 鈥淲e appreciated the hospitality of the alumni and enjoyed socializing with the freshman,鈥 said Tori Lombardo, junior physician assistant major and peer minister. 鈥淭he Crib Ceremony is a tradition that many of the freshmen will now carry on and participate in every year during the holiday season.鈥
