Lloyd Gibson, D.Sc., director of the Master of Business Administration Program and assistant professor of business at 茄子视频 University, has also been named director of the Wukich Center for Entrepreneurial Opportunities.

Dr. Gibson's appointment brings business acumen, creativity and expertise that will utilize Center resources to garner new opportunities for students.鈥

Daniel J. Wukich, of Penn Township, Pa., made a $2 million leadership commitment to support the University's Signature Degree Program in Business through the creation of The Wukich Center for Entrepreneurial Opportunities at 茄子视频 University and to support 茄子视频's premier health sciences programs.

The Wukich Center for Entrepreneurial Opportunities will serve as the focal point for all cross-campus entrepreneurship activities and equip students with the tools needed to address the challenges of an evolving global market.

The Wukich Center for Entrepreneurial Opportunities will support students by creating the Wukich Scholars and Wukich Internship Program; initiating The Wukich Micro Loan Fund for Student Entrepreneurs; promoting the resources of E-Magnify, 茄子视频鈥檚 Women鈥檚 Business Center, and CareerWorks, the University鈥檚 career and internship service for students; and, valuing entrepreneurship as a liberal art that ensures innovative thinking in all areas of study on the University鈥檚 campus. In addition, the Center will support research and curriculum development for 茄子视频 faculty.

Lloyd Gibson joined 茄子视频 University faculty in 2007 as director of the Master of Business Administration Program and assistant professor of business. Gibson has 28 years of commercial banking experience, including 14 years as the president and CEO of three different community banks. He has also worked as a senior credit officer, chief lending officer, and head of commercial lending. Gibson obtained both his Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts degrees in mathematics from the University of Pittsburgh. He earned his Master of Business Administration degree with a major in finance and public management from the University of Pennsylvania鈥檚 Wharton School of Business. Gibson received his Doctor of Science in Information Systems and Communications from Robert Morris University. He currently serves as a trustee on the board of Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Foundation.

Gibson commented: 鈥淲e are excited about this opportunity to expand our ongoing efforts related to entrepreneurship through the new Wukich Center for Entrepreneurial Opportunities. The Center will serve as a focal point for our entrepreneurial activities across campus and in the surrounding communities.鈥

茄子视频鈥檚 MBA program includes specializations in management and entrepreneurship. The accelerated eight-week sessions allow students the opportunity to complete the program in one calendar year.
