Lloyd Gibson, D.Sc., director of the Master of Business Administration Program and assistant professor of business at 茄子视频 University, presented at the International Council for Small Business World Conference in Seoul, Korea, June 21-24.

鈥淎pproximately 45 countries were represented at the conference. I enjoyed interacting with individuals from around the world and sharing different view points on the economy, small business, and multicultural business opportunities,鈥 said Gibson.

Gibson and his wife, Regina Gibson, D.Sc., were co-authors of 鈥淐hinese American Internet Banking Acceptance: Implications for Multicultural Marketing鈥 and 鈥淥nline Mentoring Acceptance by Women Entrepreneurs.鈥

鈥淭he response was very positive from the audience for both of our presentations. They seemed to be impressed with the amount of research and quality of data that we presented,鈥 said Gibson.

Gibson noted that he had the opportunity to ask his international colleagues about their opinions on the United States and its economy.
鈥淢ost people I spoke with had a very positive impression of the United States,鈥 said Gibson.

The conference topics provided Gibson with many research ideas. He hopes to begin some of his research in the fall.

鈥淚 will also share some of the examples from the conference with my students so they can better understand multicultural business, accounting, and small business from real life international examples,鈥 said Gibson.

Overall, Gibson said the conference was educational and informative. He is pleased that the 2010 International Council for Small Business World Conference will be in Cincinnati, Oh.
