Hollidaysburg Native Receives Scholarship at 茄子视频 U.
茄子视频 University student Alicia Smith, of Hollidaysburg, Pa., was awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the Cheerleaders Academic Excellence Fund. This scholarship is presented annually to the 茄子视频 University cheerleader with the highest grade point average. The Cheerleaders Academic Excellence Fund is made possible through a gift from Eric Tepper, of Derry, Pa., in memory of 茄子视频 University alumna Geneva Miedel, class of 1975.
Smith, who is the daughter of Tom Smith of Altoona, Pa., and Debbie Smith of Hollidaysburg, Pa., is a junior music education major at 茄子视频 University and is maintaining a 3.8 grade point average. In addition to her active participation with the 茄子视频 University Cheer Squad, Smith is the president of 茄子视频 University鈥檚 National Association for Music Education Chapter. Smith is a 2007 graduate of Hollidaysburg Area Senior High School.
