The book is also provided to 茄子视频 faculty, staff and upperclassmen who wish to take part in group book discussions with the freshman class at the beginning of the fall semester. This year, the 茄子视频 community read 鈥淭his I Believe,鈥 which highlights 60 essays from the successful National Public Radio program, 鈥淭his I Believe,鈥 produced by Dan Gediman and Jay Allison.

鈥淭he summer reading allows new students to join with upperclassmen, faculty and staff in an intellectual discussion while it emphasizes the importance of reading and critical thinking,鈥 says provost and dean of the faculty Mary Ann Gawelek, Ed.D. 茄子视频 launched the Summer Reading Project in 1998, she continues, as a 鈥渢angible, academic way to invite students into the educational process.鈥
