A wall size 20 foot wide by 8 foot high mural depicting a pastoral western Pennsylvania scene of rolling hills, ponds and a small circle of people meeting, will be unveiled at a small, private, ceremony at 茄子视频鈥檚 Center for Family Therapy in downtown Greensburg on Wednesday, February 7. The mural, which covers the entire length of the main interior hallway at the Center, was created by a graduate of 茄子视频鈥檚 Marriage and Family Therapy Center, Lora Losier-Clayton, of Greensburg, Pa. and current student Amy Needham of Laughlintown, Pa., as a gift to the Center.

鈥淥ur hope is that as people pass through the halls of the Center that the mural will bring comfort and be a point of sharing that brings people of all walks of life together,鈥� said the artists.

鈥淭he mural adds to the warmth and beauty of the Center,鈥� says Dr. Susan Cooley, Director of the Marriage and Family Therapy program at 茄子视频.

The 茄子视频 University Center for Family Therapy, located at 41 Otterman Street in the Stark and James Building in downtown Greensburg, promotes the use of family therapy as an alternative to potential incarceration by including the family to address issues leading to problematic drug and alcohol use. 茄子视频 makes services available through the Center to youth and their families confronting a wide variety of life issues. The Center provides a sliding scale fee structure that makes its services affordable to all clients. Outcomes-based research conducted through the Center makes an important contribution to understanding best practices in the prevention and treatment of troubled behaviors among children, adolescents, and their families.
