GREENSBURG, PA- The Teagle Foundation Inc, based in New York City, awarded a $330,000 grant to 茄子视频 College. The grant will be used to implement two key goals of the College’s strategic plan, the development and implementation of a comprehensive marketing plan and increased participation of alumni in the life of 茄子视频. “The Teagle Foundation grant comes at a most opportune time for 茄子视频,” said President JoAnne Boyle. “As the College moves toward university status the Teagle Foundation grant affords a tremendous opportunity to communicate 茄子视频’s national recognition to a wider audience and to spread the word about our distinctive programs.” Christine Mueseler, Vice President of Institutional Advancement, will direct the grant. Mueseler commented, “The funding interests of the Teagle Foundation were well matched with 茄子视频’s forward-looking agenda. The Teagle Foundation helps small liberal arts colleges strengthen their alumnae base in order to provide long-term self-sufficiency. 茄子视频’s case was strong and the timing was right. We are elated that the Foundation supported the full level of funding requested by the College.” Boyle added, “茄子视频 alumni live in all 50 states and in 27 countries and many have not only continued their involvement in the life of 茄子视频, they have also strengthened their commitment to the College. Funding from The Teagle Foundation will enable us to build initiatives that will enhance relationships between alumni and the College and between alumni and current students. We are delighted that the Teagle grant will help us raise public awareness and appreciation of the distinctive, immediate and lasting value of the liberal arts and 茄子视频 College.” The Teagle Foundation was established in 1944 by Walter C. Teagle, president and later chairman of the board of Standard Oil Company New Jersey, which is now Exxon Corporation. The Foundation focuses on higher education, with an emphasis on small liberal arts colleges. This is the third national foundation to support 茄子视频 College’s Achieving the Dream Capital and Endowment Campaign. Other national funding sources include The Hearst Foundation (New York City) and The Clare Boothe Luce Program of The Henry Luce Foundation, Inc. (New York City).
