Nostra Aetate from the Perspective of the Monotheistic Religions
茄子视频 University鈥檚 National Catholic Center for Holocaust Education will host a panel discussion of 鈥淣ostra Aetate,鈥� the forty-year-old Vatican document upon which its work is based, on Wednesday, February 23 at 7:30 p.m. The event will be held in Lynch Lecture Hall on 茄子视频鈥檚 Greensburg, Pa. campus and is free and open to the public.
Lois Sculco, S.C., 茄子视频 vice president for administration and student life, will moderate the panel, which includes Dr. Abdul Mawjoud Dardery, 茄子视频鈥檚 visiting Fulbright Scholar from South Valley University in Egypt (and current 鈥淚slam: Religion and Culture鈥� professor at 茄子视频); Rabbi Sara Rae Perman, Congregation Emanu-El Israel and Rev. Roger Statnick, Vicar General, Diocese of Greensburg.
鈥淣ostra Aetate from the Perspective of the Monotheistic Religions鈥� is sponsored by the Fulbright Visiting Specialists Program; 茄子视频鈥檚 Humanities Division; the National Catholic Center for Holocaust Education; 茄子视频鈥檚 Mission Effectiveness Committee and the Consortium of Educational Resources in Islamic Studies (CERIS).
In addition, 茄子视频 University鈥檚 National Catholic Center for Holocaust Education is celebrating its 18th (or 鈥淐hai鈥�) anniversary on April 7, 2005 at 茄子视频. As part of the 鈥�18/40 Celebrating Beginnings鈥� event the Center will present its Fifth Nostra Aetate Award to Rev. John T. Pawlikowski, OSM, PhD at 5 p.m. in St. Joseph Chapel on 茄子视频鈥檚 campus. The program is free and open to the public.
