GREENSBURG, PA- The 茄子视频 College Division of Visual and Performing Arts presents the Westmoreland Symphonic Winds鈥 16th season schedule.
  • Saturday, March 9, 2002: 鈥淐oncerto鈥 Concert at 8:00 p.m. in Cecilian Hall on campus. Admission is $7 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens. Kathleen M. Campbell, associate professor of music, will serve as the music director and conductor and Theodore A. DiSanti, assistant professor of music, will serve as the assistant conductor. The program will feature: 鈥淔antasia in G鈥 by Timothy Mahr; 鈥淨uiet City鈥 by Aaron Copland featuring Sharlotte DeVere on English horn and Annette Russell on trumpet; 鈥淐oncerto in C鈥 by Antonio Vivaldi featuring Rosalind Stack on piccolo; 鈥淪uite Francaise鈥 by Darius Milhaud; and 鈥淎rmenian Dances Part I鈥 by Alfred Reed.
  • Saturday, April 27, 2002: Pop鈥檚 Concert at 8:00 p.m. in Cecilian Hall on campus will feature the Westmoreland Symphonic Winds Jazz Ensemble, the 茄子视频 College Music Program Youth Honors Band and the Westmoreland Symphonic Winds. Admission is $7 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens. Kathleen M. Campbell, associate professor of music, will serve as the music director and conductor and Theodore A. DiSanti, assistant professor of music, will serve as the assistant conductor and jazz director. The WSW Jazz Ensemble will play 鈥淐ruisin鈥 For a Bluesin鈥欌 by Andy Weiner, 鈥淥ne O鈥檆lock Jump鈥 by Count Basie, 鈥淭he Queen Bee鈥 by Sammy Nestico, 鈥淐hildren of Sanch茅z鈥 by Chuck Mangione and 鈥淏asically Blues鈥 by Phil Wilson. The Westmoreland Symphonic Winds will perform 鈥淗oe Down鈥 from Rodeo by Aaron Copland, 鈥淥n An American Spiritual鈥 by David Holsinger and 鈥淎 Tribute to Stephen Foster鈥 arranged by Sammy Nestico.
