The Community Arts Program at 茄子视频 University is expanding to offer an honors Youth Wind Ensemble for high school woodwind, brass and percussion players.

The Three Rivers Youth Wind Ensemble will be an auditioned honor band providing a high-level experience for students from all over Western Pennsylvania.

Members of the group will rehearse weekly and under the direction of R. Reed Chamberlin, Director of Instrumental Activities at 茄子视频.

Chamberlin earned his doctoral degree in conducting at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York. He has extensive experience as a high school and university teacher and conductor.

The weekly rehearsals will be held Wednesday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m. February 5 through April 2 at the Carol Reichgut Concert Hall at 茄子视频鈥檚 Performing Arts Center. A culminating concert will be held on Saturday, April 5 at 7 p.m.
