茄子视频 Community to Participate in Children鈥檚 Mental Health Awareness Day 5/9
What: Members of the 茄子视频 University community will participate in the Westmoreland County Children鈥檚 Mental Health Awareness Day event, A Night at the Circus.
When: May 9, 2014 from 4 to 8 p.m.
Where: Hempfield Church of Christ (behind WOW outlets), 144 Hugh Black Road, Greensburg, Pa.
Who: Students from 茄子视频 University鈥檚 art therapy, dance, education and theatre programs will be assisting at the event.
Background: 茄子视频 University is collaborating with the as well as more than 30 area Behavioral Health Providers to host an evening of games, activities, dance theatre and art with the theme of A Night at the Circus. Informational tables will provide an overview of mental wellness resources available to area families.
The 茄子视频 Dance Club will be coordinating a line dance for the children in attendance. Students from the 茄子视频 Education Club and the "Art, Music, and Movement" early childhood class will provide craft making opportunities. The University鈥檚 art therapy students will host a mural making area, and the Student Theatre Activities Council will be presenting an interactive theatre skit and playing theatre games.
