Dr. Regina Birchem to speak on 鈥淲ater, Thirst and Greed 鈥 the Global Water Crisis鈥

Greensburg, PA 鈥 茄子视频 University is proud to present Dr. Regina Birchem, President of the International League for Peace and Freedom, to speak on 鈥淲ater, Thirst and Greed 鈥 the Global Water Crisis.鈥 Dr. Birchem will speak on Wednesday, October 27 at 7 p.m. in Lynch Auditorium in Lynch Hall on 茄子视频鈥檚 Greensburg, Penna. campus. The lecture, presented by the JoAnne Boyle World Affairs Forum, is free and open to the public.

Dr. Regina Birchem has been a social activist on a global scale for over twenty years. Among her accomplishments while working with the Women鈥檚 International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF) are: serving as the WILPF鈥檚 liaison with Africa, which included participation in the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization鈥檚 Pan-African Women鈥檚 Conference on a Culture of Peace and the United Nations Conference on New and Emerging Democracies; organizing the Helsinki-Beijing Peace Train; organizing the International Women of Vision Project; serving as co-coordinator of the International Working Group on the Environment; and leading an international delegation with WILPF and People to People International to China.
