Lauren Miller presented her research 鈥淚slam in Spain: Heritage, Immigration, Discrimination鈥� before a panel of judges at the Consortium for Educational Resources on Islamic Studies research symposium titled 鈥淚slam in the World: Politics, People, and Places鈥� on March 28 at Duquesne University. For her research and presentation, Lauren took second place in the 鈥淚ssues of Religion and Culture鈥� section of the competition. Lauren was encouraged to submit her work by Debra Fraszer-McMahon, Ph.D., assistant professor of Spanish.
