茄子视频 University students competed in the regional Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) competition in Cleveland, Ohio, on March 24, 2010.

鈥淭his is the third year we鈥檝e attended the SIFE competition. The first year we did not compete but for the last two years we have completed projects for the competition,鈥 said Doina Vlad, assistant professor of business and SIFE faculty advisor.

茄子视频 University students participating in the 2010 SIFE competition included Ashley Dorry, junior, Larisa Verstivschi, junior, Chona McConville, freshman, Jon Gibson, junior, Meghan Fisher, freshman, Lehelt Solomon, freshman, and Patrick McClure, junior. The students were joined by Vlad, Rebecca Campbell, director of CareerWorks, and Jayne Huston, director of E-Magnify.

During the SIFE competition, students completed and presented projects on different topics, including market economics, business ethics, business literacy and entrepreneurship. 茄子视频鈥檚 SIFE team earned the title of second runner up for the second year in a row.

鈥淭here are several team presentations throughout the day followed by a job fair. Students get a chance to meet representatives from different companies and can apply for a job or distribute their resume,鈥 said Vlad. 鈥淲e had one student get an internship with Kraft Foods after attending the SIFE competition.鈥
Vlad hopes to continue competing in the SIFE competition each year.

鈥淚t鈥檚 a wonderful learning opportunity for students and a great way for us to show off our skills,鈥 said Vlad.
