David P. Myron, CPA, former Regional Industrial Development Corporation of Southwestern Pennsylvania executive, has been named Interim Vice President for Finance, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of 茄子视频 University. The announcement was made by Bibiana Boerio, Interim President. Myron will serve in this role as the University transitions and prepares for the planned retirement of Paul T. Roman, who completes his tenure with 茄子视频 in January 2014 following 19 years of service as Vice President for Finance, CFO. Roman has been named Senior Advisor to the President, a post he will hold until his retirement. Both appointments are effective October 17, 2013.

鈥淲e are extremely pleased that David Myron has agreed to serve as Interim Vice President for Finance, CFO for 茄子视频 University,鈥� said Boerio. 鈥淗e is a skilled financial executive with extensive non-profit leadership experience. His business acumen will help the University on many levels, especially as we continue work on campus expansion projects that will enhance the 茄子视频 experience for all students.鈥�

Boerio added, 鈥淲e are especially grateful that Paul Roman will be on hand throughout the transition.鈥� She continued, 鈥淲hen Paul came on board, 茄子视频 was a small women鈥檚 college of less than 1,000 students and net assets of about $10 million. Today, 茄子视频 is a coeducational university of approximately 2,500 students with net assets that total almost $95 million. Paul has provided the careful assessment of every opportunity we have examined and has helped us make strong financial strides that serve the institution well as it embarks on major campus expansion and renewal initiatives.鈥� For his leadership, Roman was selected by the Pittsburgh Business Times as the 2009 CFO of the Year in the nonprofit organization category.

Mr. Myron earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and English from Saint Francis University, Loretto, Pa. He is a Certified Public Accountant.

During his 22-year career with , Myron served as Vice President of Finance and Treasurer (CFO) with the . Myron directed and guided all accounting, audit, finance, tax, human resources, administration, and insurance functions for a portfolio valued at over $500 million with annual budgets of more than $50 million. Myron initiated and promoted technology throughout every aspect of the RIDC to improve efficiencies while enhancing customer service. He led the acquisition of more than $500 million in loans and $100 million in grants to assist in economic development projects that benefitted southwestern Pennsylvania.

Prior to his roles with , Myron served as an Audit Senior Manager for Pittsburgh Office. At KPMG, Myron worked with more than 20 clients annually from diversified industries with revenues up to $1 billion. He provided audit, tax, pension and consulting services and was active in firm management.

Myron is a member of the American Institute of CPA鈥檚 (AICPA) and the Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs as well as a member of the National Association of Industrial Properties鈥擯ittsburgh Chapter. Myron serves on the Allegheny Land Trust Board of Directors and is a recent Board chairman. In addition, he is a Board member of the Pennsylvania Economic Development Association and the South Fayette Conservation Group.
