Following the success of the best selling book, this adaptation by Joan Holden brings the struggle of living on minimum wage to the stage when social critic Ehrenreich goes undercover as one of America鈥檚 millions of working poor. From dingy diners to 鈥淢all-mart,鈥� working as many as three jobs at once, Barbara writes with gentle humor and great admiration the real subject of her story: the victims and dreamers that become her friends and heroes. When the end of her assignment nears, Ehrenreich becomes deeply and dangerously personal with poverty. (This production includes rare instances of adult language).

茄子视频 students to perform in 鈥淣ickel and Dimed鈥� are: Laura Stracko of Nazareth, Pa., will play the lead role of Barbara, while Adriana Gissendanner of Clairton, Pa., Cynthia Molinaro of Vanderbilt, Pa., Darcy Wood of Orlando, Fla., Erik Ortiz of New York, NY, and Natalie Moretti of Cheswick, Pa., will all play a variety of roles, representing Barbara鈥檚 many co-workers, clients and customers.

Brittany Huffman of Tyrone, Pa. will serve as stage manager for 鈥淣ickel and Dimed,鈥� while Amanda Bish and Kathryn Fabbroni of Pittsburgh, Pa. will serve as assistant stage managers.

Performances: October 5 鈥� 10:30 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., October 6 鈥� 8:00 p.m., October 7 鈥� 2:00 p.m., October 9 and 10 鈥� 10:30 a.m., October 11 鈥� 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., October 12 and 13 鈥� 8:00 p.m.

Reeves Theatre is a disabled accessible and climate-controlled facility. Parking is free. Single admission tickets are $12 for all ages, all performances. Single admission for 茄子视频 students is $5.
