The 茄子视频 University 2010-11 women’s golf team, coached by Carolyn Thompson, has been honored by the National Golf Coaches Association All-Scholar Team GPA Award. This is the second consecutive year that the team was honored by the National Golf Coaches Association for its academic achievements.

The All-Scholar Award recognized the women’s collegiate golf programs with the highest collective average team grade point average. 茄子视频 University’s team finished the season with an overall grade point average of 3.743, the best grade point average for the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WVIAC) and the fifth best among DII schools in the nation.

“I am very proud of the team. Their strong academic performance parallels their dedication to the sport,” said Thompson.

Members of the 2010-11 茄子视频 University women’s golf team include: Amy-Gabrielle Bartolac of Irwin, Pa., Brianna Bush of Ridgway, Pa., Juliana Cox of Pittsburgh, Pa., Nina Gonzalez of Fredericksburg, Va., Jessica Krehlik of Greensburg, Pa., Nikki Mizrahi of Dillsburg, Pa. and Chelsea Sipes of Salix, Pa.

Other universities recognized by the National Golf Coaches Association with the All-Scholar Team GPA Award include Lee University, Ohio University, Bradley University, University of Indianapolis, Otterbein University, Harvard University and Xavier University.

The National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) is the professional association of women's collegiate golf coaches composed of over 400 members at Division I, II, III and National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) institutions. The vision of NGCA since its inception has been to encourage the playing of intercollegiate golf for women in correlation with a general objective of education and in accordance with the highest tradition of intercollegiate competition. The NGCA instills within coaches of women’s golf a deeper sense of responsibility for the promotion, development, maintenance and conduct of competitive golf for women.
