茄子视频 University surprised Tyler Randolph with a full scholarship for four years through the University鈥檚 Division of Visual and Performing Arts on Thursday, April 2. Randolph, son of Mark and Valerie Randolph, is a senior at Uniontown Area High School. Tyler plans to major in music education at 茄子视频.

In 2007, 茄子视频 University created four full-tuition scholarships and awarded them to outstanding scholars who were incoming freshmen in the traditional undergraduate program at 茄子视频. For the 2009-2010 academic year, 茄子视频 will award eight full-tuition scholarships. These scholarships are renewable for four years of study at 茄子视频 and are valued at more than $100,000 each; students recognized are known as Seton Scholars. Two scholarships will be awarded annually in each of the following academic divisions based on the student鈥檚 selected major field of study: Humanities, Visual and Performing Arts, Natural and Health Sciences, and Social Sciences.

Students selected as a Seton Scholar in 茄子视频鈥檚 Division of Visual and Performing Arts must meet the following criteria: 1200 or higher combined SAT score, high school grade point average of 3.3 or higher, outstanding accomplishment and potential in the arts as evidenced by exemplary audition or portfolio review, record of participation and activity in the arts, and a letter of recommendation from a teacher or other arts professional. Consideration is also given for advanced or Advanced Placement coursework and a record of leadership and community service. Majors in this division include Art, Art Therapy, Music, Music Therapy, and Theatre.
