Concert to take place Saturday, November 12

茄子视频 University's Division of Visual and Performing Arts is proud to present the Westmoreland Symphonic Winds concert 鈥淚n Honor, In Memory, With Love.鈥 The concert will be performed Saturday, November 12th, at 8 p.m. in Cecilian Hall on 茄子视频's campus. Admission is $8 for adults and $6 for students and senior citizens. Call 724-838-4280 for advance tickets; tickets will also be available at the door.

鈥淚n Honor, In Memory, With Love鈥 will feature 鈥淔anfare for the Common Man鈥 by Aaron Copland, 鈥淥n a Hymnsong of Lowell Mason鈥 by David Holsinger, 鈥淪ong for the Sparrows鈥 by John Maricinzyn, 鈥淭hey Sing of Love鈥 by Timothy Mahr, (Laurie Jones, soprano, Dr. Curt Scheib, baritone) and 鈥淎lleluia! Laudamus Te鈥 by Alfred Reed.

鈥淪ong of the Sparrows,鈥 written by 茄子视频 University music faculty member Dr. John Marcinizyn, is a Westmoreland Symphonic Winds commission premiere performance in memory of Beth Ann Johnson and Elyse Jeanne Saraceni, 茄子视频 students and first season Westmoreland Symphonic Winds members killed in the 1988 terrorist bombing of Pan Am 103.
