茄子视频 University and Dr. Catherine Giunta鈥檚 course in Personnel/Human Resources Management are proud to present 茄子视频鈥檚 12th World Food Day Forum on Friday, October 19 from 10 a.m. 鈥� 12 p.m. in Lynch auditorium on 茄子视频鈥檚 Greensburg, Pa. campus. The forum is free and open to the public, and all attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to the forum for collection and distribution through the Westmoreland County Food Bank.

茄子视频鈥檚 World Food Day 鈥淩ight to Food鈥� Forum speakers will be: Dr. Janice Sandrick, director of 茄子视频鈥檚 program in nutrition/dietetics; Dr. Jamie Fornsaglio, assistant professor of biology at 茄子视频; Ms. Marlene Kozak, director of the Westmoreland County Food Bank; Dr. Doina Vlad, assistant professor of business at 茄子视频; and Dr. Catherine Guinta, assistant professor of business at 茄子视频.

About World Food Day
World Food Day was established by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations in 1979, and is celebrated each year in more than 150 countries on October 16 to commemorate the date of the FAO鈥檚 founding in 1945. The World Food Day and TeleFood (a campaign of concerts, sporting events and other activities to harness the power of media, celebrities and concerned citizens to help fight hunger) theme for 2007 is "The Right to Food." This theme demonstrates increasing recognition by the international community of the important role of human rights in eradicating hunger and poverty, and hastening and deepening the sustainable development process.
