Where is ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ?

ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ University is in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. We are 45 minutes outside of Pittsburgh in southwestern Pennsylvania's Laurel Highlands. Find out more about our campus and region here.

What is the campus like?

Our main campus contains new and historic buildings on 200 wooded acres. Our downtown campus (at the foot of “the Hill”) features our Performing Arts Center and award-winning Arts Center. Shuttles provide continuous service to both sections of campus and to downtown Greensburg. View the Campus Photo Tour.

How many students go to ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ?

Around 2000, most of whom are undergraduate students. We also offer certificates and master's degrees.

Do all programs have the same requirements for admission?

Most do, but there are a few that have additional major-specific requirements. Find out about these exceptions here.

Do we have to fill out a financial aid application?

You only need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and choose ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ as a school that should be provided with your information. We will use the information from your FAFSA to create a financial aid package, and will be in touch with you if we need any additional information. 

How do we apply for ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ scholarships?

For most scholarships at ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ, you don’t have to do anything but complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). If my student is accepted at ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ and we’re offered financial aid, are we under any obligation?

No. You can feel free to work with an Admission Counselor, apply, and fill out your FAFSA early without worrying about being “tied down.” We want you to find the school that works best for you.

Do ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ graduates get jobs?

Yes! Currently, 98% of our graduates are in graduate school or have started their careers within one year of earning their ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ degree. 

Is ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ safe?

Yes. We are located in a friendly small town with a low crime rate. ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ has a dedicated campus police force who is on campus at all times. We also have strong partnerships with the Greensburg Police Department, volunteer fire departments and other local emergency services providers. Find out more about Campus Safety here.

What happens if my student gets sick at school?

ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ has Counseling, Disability and Health Services Centers that will provide direct care or coordinate care with local providers. We have strong partnerships with local hospitals (including Excela Westmoreland Hospital, which is 5 minutes from campus) as they serve as training sites for our premed, nursing, physician assistant, etc. academic programs.

What are the dining options on campus?

On campus, ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ provides a variety of dining experiences. Our main dining hall, Lowe Hall, provides full meals, snacks and lighter fare all day and into the evening. The Griffin’s Cove cafe offers cooked-to-order sandwiches, quick meals and Starbucks coffee. A smaller cafe - also serving Starbucks and small meals - is located in the Arts Center on our downtown campus. The Boyle Center contains a popular grab-and-go market. View the Dining Options at ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ. Off-campus, in downtown Greensburg and in the surrounding area, are a variety of unique and popular restaurants, coffee houses and cafes. 

Can my student have a car on campus?

Yes. They need to apply for a parking permit for security reasons, but there is no additional fee. 

What is there to do on campus, outside of class?

So much. ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ has 20 NCAA DII athletic teams, an Esports team, a robust arts scene that is open to all majors, intramurals, student service opportunities, trips to local cities and attractions, study abroad, student government, more than 70 student clubs, a student newspaper, a student literary journal, and regular on-campus concerts and events. Plus, downtown Greensburg, the Laurel Highlands and Pittsburgh are full of opportunities for fun. Find out more here.

What is the deadline to apply?

Most programs don’t have deadlines. You can apply any time and we’ll start looking at your application right away.  A few competitive programs - like the B.S./M.S. in Physician Assistant - do have structured application cycles. How do students sign up for rooms in the residence halls?

ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ’s Office of Residence Life reaches out to all new students right away to get the process started. Find out more about living at ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ here.

How much does it cost to live on campus?

Room and board costs vary depending on the Residence Hall you live in and the meal plan you choose.  Your Admission Counselor can help you with specifics. You can find general information here.

Where can we get books and supplies?

ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ has a Barnes & Noble College Bookstore on campus in Sullivan Hall. This bookstore offers a program called the First Day Complete Griffin Book Bundle that will provide your student's course materials before the first day of class. You can also shop our bookstore online at . 

How much does it cost to attend ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ?

Many people are surprised to discover that ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ costs less than some state schools. (That’s one of the reasons U.S. News & World Report calls us a Best Value year after year.)
